Badskirt is a craft, lifestyle and travel blog from Amy Gunson known for its honest reviews, clever tutorials and humorous anecdotes about life with her kiteboarding husband. Amy brings a passion to life which she pours into the stories and tutorials shared at Badskirt.
Along with her craft expertise; Amy shares her knowledge of Japan's craft scene; a passion for her birth country, America; and a love of touring her adopted country, Australia.
Badskirt started in 2008, as a craft blog to showcase Amy's new found interest in textiles. By 2009, Badskirt was known for unique toys and homewares bringing happiness handmade to Sydney area markets and its online shop. Badskirt's range featured bright, fun fabrics which brought a modern twist to vintage-inspired designs.
Along with the product range, the Badskirt blog evolved to include tutorials, sewalongs and product reviews. An onine textile division soon followed including many of the modern, tyopgraphic and quirky designs used in Badskirt products. The Badskirt online shop closed in 2011, but Amy continues to take commissions for Badskirt products. Additionally, Amy takes on freelance work within the craft industry assisting with product development and marketing. She's excited to continue to bring travel, craft and lifestyle content via Badskirt.
